Mr. D’Agostino brings more than 25 years of engineering, operational, and managerial experience to InVivo. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Operations and was previously the Vice President of Manufacturing & Engineering at the company. Prior to that, Mr. D’Agostino was the Vice President of Engineering at Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, which included running all product development and engineering activities across their international facilities. Mr. D’Agostino also worked for Covidien/Medtronic, where he gained extensive experience in the development, synthesis and clinical production of bioabsorbable polymers and medical device manufacturing. In addition, he holds 13 U.S. patents ranging from medical devices to fiber optic sensors as well as numerous European patents. Mr. D’Agostino is a co-author of the book, Regulatory Strategies for Combination Products, published by PDA/DHI. He holds an MBA from the University of Dallas awarded with highest honors and B.S. degrees in both chemical engineering and materials engineering from the University of Connecticut. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), and he was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers at the University of Connecticut.
